Authorship Criteria
Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia (JPI) recognises authorship only when a person has made a genuine scholarly contribution and accepts responsibility for the published work. These criteria apply to all manuscript types.
Authorship requires all of the following: a substantial contribution to the study or scholarly argument; participation in drafting or critically revising the manuscript; approval of the final version; and agreement to be accountable for the work and to help resolve questions about its accuracy or integrity.
Author order and correspondence. All authors should agree on their order before submission and identify one corresponding author to manage communication with the journal. The corresponding author confirms that every listed author has approved the submission, declarations, and final manuscript. A change in authorship after submission must be explained to the editor and supported by the written agreement of all affected authors; the journal records the decision in the editorial system.
Contributors who are not authors. Funding, general supervision, administrative support, language editing, data collection alone, or technical assistance alone does not automatically justify authorship. With their permission, such contributors may be acknowledged. Ghost, guest, and gift authorship are not accepted. Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
Required declarations. Authors disclose their individual contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, and any material use of generative AI accurately. See the Declaration Statements, Generative AI Policy, and Author Guidelines. The editor may request clarification when a contribution or authorship change is disputed.
