Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia (JPI) requires original work and proper attribution. Plagiarism, unattributed reuse, and duplicate or simultaneous publication are unacceptable. This policy applies during submission and after publication.

1. Originality and Attribution

Authors cite borrowed ideas, words, data, images, and other material appropriately. Related prior dissemination, including preprints, theses, and conference versions, should be disclosed to the editor. Authors must not present a substantially published work as a new contribution.

2. Similarity Screening

The journal’s stated maximum similarity index is 25%, consistent with its Author Guidelines. Similarity screening supports editorial judgment; a number alone is not a finding of plagiarism. Properly cited quotations, common terminology, and reference lists can affect a report, while material below the threshold may still be improperly reused.

3. Editorial Assessment

The editor examines the matched passages, source works, citation quality, and significance of the overlap. The editor may request clarification or correction, invite a revision, or decline a manuscript according to the evidence. Meeting the numerical threshold does not guarantee acceptance.

4. Suspected Misconduct

When concerns are substantiated, the editor considers the seriousness of the issue and gives the author an opportunity to respond where appropriate. Serious cases may be referred to the relevant institution or authority when justified. Confidentiality and fairness apply during the investigation.

5. Post-Publication Concerns

Reports about published articles are evaluated under Publication Ethics and Publication Integrity. A correction, notice, or retraction is linked to the publication record when warranted. Send the article URL and supporting evidence through the contact page.
