Plagiarism Policy

As an academic journal dedicated to maintaining high standards of integrity and originality, the Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia enforces a strict plagiarism policy. Plagiarism, in any form, is deemed an unethical publishing behavior and is not tolerated.

Objectives of the Policy

  1. Preventing Plagiarism
Authors are required to submit only original works that have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to other publications. Proper acknowledgment and citation of all referenced sources are mandatory.
  2. Detecting Plagiarism
All submitted manuscripts are rigorously screened using advanced plagiarism detection tools. Similarities with previously published works, both within our journal and external sources, are carefully evaluated.
  3. Educating Authors
The Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia is committed to educating authors about academic integrity and best practices for avoiding plagiarism. Clear guidance on proper citation and referencing is provided in the journal’s Author Guidelines.
  4. Investigating Suspected Cases
If plagiarism is suspected, the editorial team conducts a thorough investigation, including:
    • Cross-checking with plagiarism detection software.
    • Reviewing similarities with other published works.
    • Requesting clarification or additional information from the corresponding author.
  5. Taking Appropriate Action
If plagiarism is confirmed, the journal will take decisive action, which may include:
    • Rejection of the manuscript.
    • Notification to the author’s institution or funding body.
    • Reporting the case to relevant academic organizations.
    • Imposing sanctions or penalties on the author.
  6. Maintaining Confidentiality
The journal ensures the confidentiality of all parties involved during the investigation process, including authors and reviewers. Cases are handled with utmost professionalism and sensitivity.

Acceptable Plagiarism Levels

The Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia allows a maximum similarity index of 25%. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be returned to the authors for revision or outright rejected, depending on the severity of the issue.

By enforcing this policy, the Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia is committed to promoting original and ethical research. Our aim is to foster an academic environment built on trust, integrity, and respect for intellectual property.
