Abstract

Digital transformation has encouraged elementary schools to integrate technology not only into teaching and learning but also into administrative management and decision-making processes. This study aimed to describe the management of digital technology utilization at UPTD SD Negeri 12 Bireuen based on the management functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling, as well as to analyze its contribution to the effectiveness of school management. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a single-case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three groups of informants, namely the school principal, classroom teachers, and administrative staff/system operators, as well as non-participant observations and document analysis. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the trustworthiness of the findings was strengthened through source and methodological triangulation. The results revealed that digital technology had been integrated into school planning, the allocation of system management responsibilities, the use of electronic report cards (e-rapor), digital attendance systems, data management, online communication, and administrative monitoring. Qualitatively, these practices contributed to administrative efficiency, improved organization and traceability of information, and greater data availability for decision-making. However, their effectiveness remained constrained by unequal access to infrastructure, varying levels of digital literacy among educators, and inconsistent technology governance practices. The findings highlight the importance of digital leadership, competency
