This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. Two classes were selected as the experimental and control groups, with sample selection using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students. Data analysis was conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. Before hypothesis testing was performed, prerequisite tests, such as the normality test, were conducted to ensure that the data were normally distributed. The test results indicated that the data met the normality assumption. Homogeneity testing was also conducted, and the results showed that both groups had homogeneous variances. Subsequently, a paired sample t-test was conducted to examine the significance of the impact of the Guided Inquiry learning model on the interest in learning of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Toari. The results of the analysis showed a significant impact of implementing the Guided Inquiry learning model on students' interest in learning.
Deti Sri Rahayu Copyright (c) 2024 Deti Sri Rahayu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 4 2 294 301 10.61291/jpi.v4i2.46 Pengembangan Video Pembelajaran Matematika untuk Melatih Kemampuan Analisis Siswa Pada Materi Dimensi Tiga https://jurnalpendidikindonesia.com/index.php/jpi/article/view/48
This study aims to develop mathematics learning videos to train students' analytical skills in three-dimensional materials that are valid, practical, and have potential effects. The development of these learning videos employs the ADDIE research method, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Research data were obtained through validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and student learning outcome tests. The trial subjects were 12th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 7 Palembang, South Sumatra. Based on the analysis of data obtained from expert validation, the mathematics learning videos to train students' analytical skills in three-dimensional materials were deemed "highly valid," with an average percentage of 91.77%. The practicality test resulted in a rating of "highly practical," with an average rate of 88.5%. Meanwhile, the potential effects aspect was deemed to have "potential effects" with an average percentage of 90% based on student learning outcome tests.
Sanika Nur Afni Yunika Lestaria Ningsih Dina Octaria Copyright (c) 2023 Sanika Nur Afni, Yunika Lestaria Ningsih, Dina Octaria https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 4 2 302 313 10.61291/jpi.v4i2.48 Analisis Self-Efficacy Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dalam Pembelajaran Matematika di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 https://jurnalpendidikindonesia.com/index.php/jpi/article/view/47
The COVID-19 pandemic is an epidemic that has brought major changes to all aspects, including educational aspects. Different learning methods will affect several students' affective abilities, one of which is self-efficacy. The importance of this ability attracted researchers to conduct research aimed at describing aspects of students' self-efficacy in learning mathematics. The approach used is a quantitative approach, with the type of research being survey research. The population in this study were all class XI students in one of the state high schools in North Aceh Regency, with the sample being students in classes XI MIA 1, XI MIA 2, XI MIA 4, XI MIA 5, and XI IIS. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, namely explaining students' self-efficacy abilities and determining students' self-efficacy categories using hypothetical mean categorization. The research results showed that 87.85% of students had self-efficacy in the medium category. This indicates that the majority of students keep trying and do not give up quickly on studying mathematics during COVID-19.
Reza Mulyadi Herizal Mutia Fonna Copyright (c) 2023 Reza Mulyadi, Herizal, Mutia Fonna https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 4 2 314 321 10.61291/jpi.v4i2.47 Pengembangan Modul Matematika Berbasis Pendekatan Kontekstual Pada Materi Kubus dan Balok Kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) https://jurnalpendidikindonesia.com/index.php/jpi/article/view/50
This research aims to produce a contextual approach-based mathematics module on cubes and rectangular prisms for 8th-grade junior high school students. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a modified 4-D research model into 3-D, namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The instruments used in this research are validation and practicality questionnaires. The results of the development of mathematics learning modules have been validated by three validators, with the overall average assessment aspects such as didactic aspects, content, language, and appearance reaching 3.60 with a criterion of very valid. Furthermore, the practicality of the modules is assessed based on trial and evaluation using teacher response questionnaires, with the average practicality score of the contextual-based mathematics module reaching 94% and the student response questionnaire reaching 84.25%, both categorized as very practical. Therefore, this mathematics learning module has been proven to be very valid and highly practical.
Dinila Sutri Ratri Isharyadi Annajmi Copyright (c) 2023 Dinila Sutri, Ratri Isharyadi, Annajmi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 4 2 322 331 10.61291/jpi.v4i2.50 Pengembangan E-Modul Berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Pada Pokok Bahasan Persamaan dan Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel https://jurnalpendidikindonesia.com/index.php/jpi/article/view/49
This study aims to produce an e-module product based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the subject of valid, practical, and effective single-variable linear equations and inequalities.
